Overview: NSW Government engaged Continuum Alliance (CPB and Lendlease) to undertake modifications along the rail corridor between Springwood and Lithgow stations to allow the New Intercity Fleet trains to service customers. ABI Civil Contracting were engaged by Continuum Alliance to complete the modifications to heritage awnings located at Leura and Hazelbrook stations.
Scope:
Disconnect exiting drainage
Remove heritage fascia/ façade
Cut back station canopy roof sheeting
Cut back cast iron roof struts
Redrill cast iron struts
Replace existing heritage components and new components of canopy
Removal of lead paint and repainting of all affected station components
Core Outcomes:
The project was delivered in time and within budget
